Naomi Waqo, MP) to ask the Cabinet Secretary for Energy and Petroleum - (i) Could the Cabinet Secretary provide a status report on the electricity connectivity to public institutions and households in Marsabit County, indicating the percentage of the said connectivity to these facilities? (ii) Could the Cabinet Secretary elaborate the plans put in place by the Ministry to ensure that Marsabit County is connected to electricity power though the national grid? (iii) Could the Cabinet Secretary explain the causes of frequent power outages in Marsabit County and provide the steps taken by the Ministry to address the said outages? (iv) Could the Cabinet Secretary explain whether Kenya Power and Lighting Company adheres to the due process of issuing power interruption notices in Marsabit County before the power outage occurs? (v) Could the Cabinet Secretary provide the operational capacity of Kenya Power and Lighting Company to adequately supply power in the county?
