Gisairo Clive, MP) to ask the Cabinet Secretary for Ministry of Education: - Could the Cabinet Secretary – (i) explain why Master Protus Mogaka, a form 3 student at Maranda High School was sent home to collect fees arrears of Ksh. 4000 on Saturday, 1st April 2023 at 2pm? (ii) state the disciplinary action taken against the principal and management of the school for sending the student home, 300 km away in Sungutua sub- location, Kitutu Chache Constituency against the unequivocal directive of the Ministry on fees and also without informing his parents? (iii) outline steps that the Ministry is taking in earnest to guarantee learners remain safe and to deter schools from sending them home for fees arrears in the near future considering that parents are also grappling with the high cost of living?
