The Member for Tigania West (Hon. John Mutunga, MP) to ask the Cabinet Secretary for Lands, Public Works, Housing and Urban Development: - Could the Cabinet Secretary – (i) explain what has become of 375km2 of Nyambane Conservancy which originally constituted part of the 640km2 conservation area under the Kenya Legal Notice No. 86? (ii) provide details of the ownership of the 375km2 of land and explain the circumstances under which this portion of land was separated from the original 640km2 conservation area including the intended use of the land? (iii) specify the level of public participation that was conducted to inform the residents of Meru on the intention to separate the 375km2 of land from the conservancy?
