The Member for Alego Usonga (Hon. Samuel Atandi, MP) to ask the Cabinet Secretary for Interior and National Administration: - Could the Cabinet Secretary – (i) state reasons for incessant insecurity incidences in the following centres in Alego Usonga sub-county: (a) Mur-Malanga Market centre where shops were broken into on the night of 1st July 2023; (b) Obambo trading centre where one watchman, Mr. George Otieno Owino of ID No. 9017094 succumbed to injuries sustained from attack by robbers on the night of 11th July 2023; (c) Siaya town where one businessman, Mr Felix Okoth Yugi of ID No.42278739 was shot dead at 7.30pm on the night of 1st August,2023 while at his shop; (d) Randago trading centre where two watchmen, Mr. Wiliam Opany Otin (ID No. 9757298) and Mr. Steven Owiti Onyango (ID No. 11611650) were killed by robbers on the night of 28th July 2023; and (e) Mwer, barding, Mur Ngiya, Bar Olengo and Rabar trading centres where shops have severally been broken into? (ii) provide a status of the investigations into the deaths of the watchmen and businessman and state if the culprits have been apprehended and charged accordingly? (iii) state the number of DCI officers deployed in Alego- Usonga sub-county and clarify the duration of time an officer can serve in one station of work? (iv) explain why Mr. Joseph Wachiuri Kinuthia of Service No. 237289 has not been transferred from Siaya County despite having served in the station for more than four years? (v) enumerate the number of DCI officers who have served for more than three years in various stations in Alego Usonga sub-county?
