The Member for Mathioya (Hon. (Dr.) Edwin Mugo, MP) to ask the Cabinet Secretary for Water, Sanitation and Irrigation: - Could the Cabinet Secretary— (i) outline the status of water connectivity in Mathioya constituency including a report on the total number of households connected against the total population of the constituency? (ii) explain why the following projects being implemented by Athi Water Works Development Agency in Mathioya Constituency have stalled:- (a) The Gatunguru Brake Pressure Tank (BPT) to Nyakianga Tank; (b) The Nyangiti Borehole Solarization project; (c) The Gatango water intake project from Aberdare Forest; (d) Construction of raw water pipes; (e) Construction of a Water Treatment Plant in Kihari village (Nyayo Tea Zone); (f) The Laying of a distribution pipe from Kairo to Gakurwe to Kigetuini which is approximately a 22km stretch; (g) Installation of a water pipeline from Kamagokoto to Kiriaini Town. (iii) provide a detailed report on why the construction of Mathioya Last Mile Water Supply Project is yet to commence despite the contract having been awarded on 30th April 2024 and handing over of the site on 2nd August 2024?
