Approval of appointment of Canon (Dr) Ida Betty Odinga as Permanent Representative to UNEP

THAT, taking into consideration the findings of the Departmental Committee on Defence, Intelligence and Foreign Relations in its Report on the approval hearing of a nominee for appointment as a Permanent Representative of the Republic of Kenya to the United Nations Environment Programme, laid on the Table of the House on Tuesday, 24th February 2026, and pursuant to the provisions of Article 132 (2) (e) of the Constitution and Sections 3 and 8 of the Public Appointments (Parliamentary Approval) Act, (Cap.7F), this House approves the appointment of Canon (Dr) Ida Betty Odinga, EGH, as the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Kenya to the United Nations Environment Programme.
